IRD Engineering continues its commitment to ensuring high-quality technical supervision on Lot 3 of the Focșani – Bacău Motorway, part of one of Romania’s most important road infrastructure programs.
Our team is present on site every day, closely monitoring construction activities, validating progress, and ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations, technical specifications, and quality standards. Since the beginning of the assignment, all initial milestones have been achieved, reflecting the proper mobilization of resources and the readiness of the site organization for the main execution phases.
As of November 2025, physical progress on Lot 3 has reached 52.20%, based on IRD Engineering’s periodic field assessments.
Construction activities have advanced steadily and in a coordinated manner across all major work fronts. Road works continue to shape the future motorway through ongoing earthmoving operations, foundation layers, and other key activities. Significant progress has also been recorded on drainage systems and related structures, including the continuous execution of culverts, with teams performing formwork, concreting, reinforcement, and waterproofing works—elements essential for long-term resilience and safety.
Major structures are evolving as well, with works progressing on both substructures and superstructures of bridges and overpasses. In parallel, modern motorway systems—such as ITS components and external lighting—are being implemented, contributing to the development of a fully equipped and modern transport corridor.
As Supervisor, IRD Engineering remains actively engaged in all phases of the project. Our specialists continuously review execution programs, verify the conformity of works, and request corrective measures whenever necessary. Through consistent field presence and rigorous control processes, we support the orderly evolution of the project and the effective management of potential risks.
