A joint venture composed by Theme Engineering Services and IRD Engineering have signed a new ADB-funded contract with the Government of Tamil Nadu (India) to provide Construction Supervision Consultancy Services for another package of the Chennai- Kanyakumari Industrial Corridor, an ambitious infrastructure program to upgrade 655 km of State Highways. Works will be implemented as EPC contracts with a 7 years maintenance period.
This newly awarded package relates to 4 sections with a total length of roughly 110 kilometres. The team from Theme and IRD will ensure that high quality construction is achieved and that all works are carried out in full compliance with the engineering design requirements, technical specifications, environmental management plan, and other stipulations of the EPC contract documents.
This is the second contract awarded to Theme Engineering Services and IRD Engineering within the Chennai- Kanyakumari Industrial Corridor Project. In 2021 the Joint Venture signed a similar contract for a 90 kilometres highway section
