A consortium led by #IRDEngineering has resulted awarded with a new contract in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is aimed at the preparation of the “Design and Studies for Betterment of Road on SEETO Route 2a, Section Banja Luka – Ugar (IEBL) – Lasva (Lots 1 and 2)” and is financed by the European Union’s Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance, being managed by the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The length of Lot 1, from the southern end of Banja Luka Bypass to Donji Vakuf, is approximately 104 km, while the length of Lot 2, from Donji Vakuf to Lasva, is approximately 62 km.

The assignment considers the optimization of the alignment recommended in the preliminary phase of the design, an update of the traffic study, the preparation of the preliminary and main design including all required geotechnical and geodetic surveys, the environment impact assessment, the road safety audit, and the preparation of full tender dossiers for all the related works, and all this in line with the applicable legislative and regulatory frameworks of the two administrative Entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
