Representatives of the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration in Romania (CNAIR) and IRD Engineering have recently inked a new contract aimed at the provision of engineering supervision services during the construction of Lot 3 of the Buzău – Focșani Motorway (Autostrada A7).

The Motorway A7 (Ploiești – Buzău – Focșani – Bacău – Pascani), also known as the Ploiești – Siret Motorway or the Moldavia Motorway, is part of the TEN-T Core network (Pan-European Corridor IX), and it includes the sections Ploiești – Buzău (63.25 km), Buzău – Focșani (82.44 km), Focșani – Bacău (95.90 km), and Bacău – Pașcni (77.40 km).

The recently awarded section is 36.1 kilometers-long.

We feel very enthusiastic to further consolidate our presence Romania, where we operate through a branch office in Bucharest. The company is currently supervising works of other two important motorways in the country: the A3 (Autostrada A3), which connects Bucharest with Transylvania and the north-western region; and Lot 2 of the Lugoj – Deva Motorway (Autostrada A1), which is the only missing part to complete the highway between Sibiu and the border with Hungary.
