Mr. Paolo Orsini, Managing Director and founder of IRD Engineering, has just received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, in gratitude for the work of IRD Engineering during the implementation of the North-South Road Corridor Investment Project and the Lifeline Roads Improvement Programme, the two most ambitious transport infrastructure schemes in the country.
The Certificate was given by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Gnel Sanosyan, who was on an official visit in Rome, accompanied by Mrs. Christine Ghalechyan, Deputy Minister, Mr. Gor Avetisyan, Executive Director of the Road Department Fund, and by other senior representatives from this institution, whose main scope and goals are to ensure the effective implementation of road projects in the whole Republic of Armenia.
Among other organised activities, the Delegation was received by ANAS SpA, the public state road operator, which organised a visit to the road network control centre and to a tunnel construction site, so to make the participants acquainted with the latest developments in tunnel construction and safety. An important meeting was also a held with Representatives of Ance, the national association of construction companies.
The whole initiative was only possible thanks to the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Italian Republic and, more specifically, thanks to the Ambassador, H.E. Mrs. Tsovinar Hambardzumyan.
