A Joint Venture composed of IRD Engineering and FMC Engineering has recently signed a new contract in Italy, aimed at the provision of works management and safety coordination services on the motorway network managed by Autostrade per l’Italia s.p.a.- Lot 4 “Fiano Romano – DT5”.
Autostrade per l’Italia is one of Europe’s leading concessionaries for the construction and management of toll motorways, with around 3,000 km of network managed in Italy.
The awarded contract relates to the rehabilitation and upgrading of motorways in the macro area surrounding Rome (about 200 km of radius) and, more specifically, the main works will be performed on the A1 Highway, the most important road transport artery in Italy.
IRD Engineering was set up in the year 2000 aiming at the provision of engineering services during the reconstruction efforts after the conflicts that had unfortunately taken place in the Western Balkans. Traditionally over 90% of our annual revenues related to international projects. It is for this reason that we take big pride every time we have the opportunity to work in our own county.
