Last 18th May Representatives of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, of the National University of Architecture and Construction, and of IRD Engineering signed a Co-operation Agreement aiming at the setting up of the Civil Engineering Summer School program. Its main objective will be to provide hands-on experience and on-the-job training on IFI-funded construction projects under implementation in Armenia to students and civil engineering graduates.

IRD Engineering is indeed currently, and since 2015, supporting the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure in the implementation of the North – South Investment Programme being carrying out the works supervision of the Tranche 3, Talin – Gyumri (financed by ADB and EIB), and performing the Design of the Kajaran-Agarak section of Tranche 4 (Financed by Eurasian Development bank).

Although IRD Engineering traditionally cooperates with a number of Italian Universities, this is its first such cooperation with a foreign university. We are certain that this will be a remarkable experience for civil engineering students and young professionals.

During the ceremony, which got broad media coverage, all the parties highlighted the importance the initiative and expressed their confidence on the impact and the expected positive outcomes of the program.
