The official inauguration of several new sections of Moscow’s Central Ring Road, including the entire Start-up Complex No. 4, where IRD Engineering acted in the capacity of Independent Engineer, took place last 28th December 2020.
The event gathered large media coverage and counted on the participation of the Governor of Moscow Region, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the Board of Avtodor, and also representatives of IRD Engineering’s daughter company in Russia, IRD Engineering Proekt.
Start-up Complex No. 4 comprises a 97 km heavy duty asphalt-concrete road category type IA. It consists of four 7.5 m lanes (two for each carriage way) with an estimated traffic speed of 140 km/h. It includes 66 bridge structures, 49 flyovers and 7 traffic interchanges on different levels. The investment value of this section was roughly 85 billion Roubles (approximately 1.1 billion Euro), being co-financed by the State (49%) and by the selected Concessionaire (51%).
