Tbilisi Metro Modernisation – Conceptual & Preliminary Design and Procurement Support

IRD Engineering, in partnership with Ardanuy as lead company, supports the modernisation of the Tbilisi Metro by delivering surveys, conceptual and preliminary designs, and procurement-ready documentation for the rehabilitation of metro stations and associated systems. The assignment covers stations financed by the EBRD as well as additional stations funded directly by the Client, and includes upgrades to the TTC training centre and heavy maintenance equipment requirements. All work is aligned with Georgian legislation, European best practice and EBRD environmental and social standards.

Scope of Services

The consortium develops all necessary surveys and preliminary designs for station rehabilitation, prepares Employer’s Requirements and tender documents suitable for a FIDIC Design-Build contract, and supports TTC throughout procurement. IRD also contributes to environmental and social assessments, assists with permitting and procurement strategy, and ensures coordinated, compliant and procurement-ready deliverables across all project components.
