Supervision Services for the Rehabilitation Works on the R14 and R8.1

Contract aiming at the provision of engineering services during the rehabilitation of the roads R14, R6 – Codrul Nou – Soroca – Unguri – Ukrainian border, and R8.1, R8 – Arionesti, which are part of the Moldova Road Rehabilitation Program IV, financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

These two road sections represent an important link connecting the Ukrainian southeastern border with the northern part of Moldova, from Otaci to Soroca and down to the capital city Chisinau, along the R6 road.

Moldova’s strategic position is of great importance to ensure transportation and continued trade flows from Ukraine to Romania, to the Danube River via Moldova’s Giurgiulesti port, and to other EU countries. The rehabilitated sections will be of major and strategic importance for both the transport of passengers and freight.

IRD Engineering carries out the duties of “the Engineer” according to FIDIC Conditions of Contract (MDB Harmonised Edition 2010), including the management of any variations and claims occurring during the implementation of the project.
