The consortium IRD Engineering – Ekoengineering – Kontpas has signed a Framework Contract with the Bulgarian Road Infrastructure Agency for Lot 8 under the public procurement procedure “Repair Works of Republican Roads on the Territory of Bulgaria – Framework Agreement for Nine Lots”, covering the regions of Haskovo, Kardzhali and Stara Zagora.
As a leading player in the supervision of works for transport infrastructure, with a permanent presence in more than 20 countries across Europe and Asia, IRD Engineering is proud to contribute its extensive experience and technical excellence to this important national programme.
This assignment forms part of Bulgaria’s strategy to enhance the technical and operational standards of the national road network, ensuring high‑quality construction works and full compliance with regulatory requirements.
The scope of services includes comprehensive construction supervision and technical control in accordance with Bulgarian legislation. Together with its partners, IRD Engineering will ensure that all repair works are executed in line with approved designs, statutory obligations, and the highest quality standards.
Key Areas of the Assignment:
- Supervision of repair works in Region 8: Haskovo, Kardzhali and Stara Zagora;
- Preparation of the comprehensive conformity assessment report;
- Monitoring compliance with approved designs, safety regulations and environmental requirements;
- Verification of contractor activities, quality tests and material certification in compliance with Bulgarian construction norms;
- Support during the issuance of the construction permit;
- Construction supervision during the Defects Liability Period (DLP).
This initiative strengthens institutional capacity for overseeing high‑quality road infrastructure projects in Bulgaria and ensures that public investments result in safe, durable and efficient road networks.
