An official ceremony for the signature of the contract for the supervision of works on wastewater management system improvement in the Montenegrin municipality of Mojkovac was recently held at the premises of the city hall.

The event counted on the participation of the Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development, Mr. Damjan Ćulafić, the President of the Municipality of Mojkovac, Mr. Vesko Delić, the CEO of DOO “Project – Consulting” – Podgorica (PROCON), the National Project Implementation Unit, Mr. Novo (Džaja) Konjevic, and by IRD Engineering’s Deputy General Manager and Senior Project Manager, Mr. Alvaro Diez Santaclara and Mr. Mladen Stojcević.

The project, supported by the @WBIF – Western Balkans Investment Framework and funded by the @European Investment Bank (EIB), includes the improvement of the wastewater management system, the construction of a new sewage network, the separation of the existing atmospheric and sewage networks, and the adaptation and improvement of the operation of the existing wastewater treatment plant. These works are all recognized by the Municipal Wastewater Management Plan for Montenegro (2020–2035) as one of the strategic infrastructure projects to be implemented in accordance with Council Directive 91/271/EEC.

We are honoured to participate in this project and to keep standing as a reliable partner of the Government of Montenegro on its progressive path towards EU accession, this time contributing to the water and sanitation sector, one of the country’s key challenges, and to further strengthening sustainable infrastructure development across this beautiful nation.
