IRD Engineering continues to supervise works on Lot 2 of the A7 Moldova Motorway, between Domnești and Târgu Răcăciuni (km 35+600 – km 74+380). This section is part of the strategic TEN-T Core Network and Romania’s 2020–2030 National Investment Plan.

The A7 – Autostrada Moldovei is a key infrastructure corridor aiming to improve mobility between Moldova and Muntenia, reduce congestion on the DN2/E85, and strengthen Romania’s position along the European north–south transport axis.

Recent progress on Lot 2:

  • Earthworks, embankments, and base layers completed in several zones
  • Major progress on bridge structures (e.g. S33 over DN2, S37 over the Trotuș River)
  • Ongoing works at Adjud and Răcăciuni interchanges
  • Development of ITS infrastructure and smart transport systems

The works are executed by the SPEDITION UMB – SA&PE CONSTRUCT – TEHNOSTRADE Joint Venture, with IRD Engineering in charge of technical supervision, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance.
