IRD Engineering is proud to announce that it has recently been officially awarded with the contract for the new Road Rehabilitation and Safety Program (RRSP) in Serbia, very similar to ongoing project which the company has been implementing since 2018 on various sections all over Serbia. The project is of immense importance for the development of road network in all parts of Serbia and has already seen a 4-year extension over the initially contracted implementation period (2018-2021).
This time IRD Engineering has teamed up with CPL Civil Engineering Institute, as the consortium leader, to jointly provide technical expertise in implementation of the new Consulting Services for Supervision of Rehabilitation Works including Environmental and Social Safeguard Monitoring on Additional EIB Sections under RRSP project. The Project will be focusing on ten road sections (1st and 2nd category of roads) in total length of app. 260 kilometres and will be financed from the funds of the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank. Over the next 30 months, the CPL – IRD consortium will be providing expertise in works supervision and managerial control for several civil works contracts, as well as environmental and social safeguard monitoring.
The RRSP project is jointly financed by the loan funds of the World Bank, European Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as by funds of the Republic of Serbia and represents a support to the Serbian Government in implementation of the National State Road Network Rehabilitation Program. The Program aims at rehabilitating close to 1,100 km of the existing roads in Serbia, increasing road safety, and strengthening institutional capacity and coordination in the field of road and traffic safety. Rehabilitation of road infrastructure in Serbia will underpin national trade, support private sector development, and contribute to the economic and social cohesion in the country.
