IRD, as part of a Joint Venture led by SAB S.r.l., has signed a Framework Contract with INAIL (the Italian National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work) to deliver integrated engineering and architectural services, including technical investigations, for civil buildings within INAIL’s real estate portfolio in Rome.

The contract includes architectural and engineering design, site management and supervision, health and safety coordination during both design and execution phases, as well as technical investigations, surveys, and feasibility studies.

The JV’s first activity is the restoration of Palazzo Marini, a historic 19th-century neoclassical building located on Via del Tritone in the heart of Rome. The complex, featuring five internal courtyards, will be renovated to host the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers by the end of the current legislature (2027).

IRD will be responsible for geological investigations, seismic vulnerability assessments, structural design, and fire safety planning.

This assignment represents a significant technical and professional challenge, offering an opportunity to contribute to the protection and enhancement of a highly valuable historic asset.
