On May 5, IRD Engineering was proud to take the stage at one of the most important international events of the year — the 58th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), hosted for the first time in Italy.

Our Managing Director, Paolo Orsini, shared IRD’s journey and track record working on ADB-financed projects across Asia, highlighting how Italian engineering expertise is helping deliver complex infrastructure where it’s needed most.

As one of the Italian firms with the highest number of ADB consultancy contracts in recent years, it was a great opportunity to reflect on what we’ve achieved — and where we’re headed next.

The event, organized by OICE, brought together key players from ADB, Italian institutions, and the private sector. It was an honor to contribute alongside leaders like President Sergio Mattarella, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti.

We believe strongly in the global relevance of Italian consultancy — and we’re committed to continuing our work with international partners to build infrastructure that makes a difference.
