We are excited to announce that the kick-off meeting for the Environmental Management and Sustainable Tourism Development Project was successfully held on February 5th, 2025, in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. This significant event brought together representatives from Gosstroy, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), JV IRD & ARS Progetti, and United Group.
During the meeting, IRD and ARS shared their approach to ensuring the successful implementation of the project, introduced the project team, and provided insights into the planning process.
As part of the ADB’s mission, a site visit to Issyk-Kul followed, where key project sites were inspected, including the WWTP, pipe stations, the promenade, and the Petroglyph Museum.
We were also privileged to meet with Mr. Daniyar Satarov, Mayor of Cholpon-Ata, where we discussed the project’s pivotal role in developing Cholpon-Ata into a key tourism destination. Additionally, we had an insightful meeting with Mr. Japarbek Ormonov, head of the Issyk-Kul Regional Administration, highlighting the far-reaching impact of this project on not only Cholpon-Ata but the entire region and global tourism.
