IRD Engineering has started carrying out the activities outlined in the Framework Agreement signed with ATAC S.p.A. – Company for the Mobility of the Municipality of Rome, for the assignment of Architecture and Engineering Services related to contracts to be executed at the sites of ATAC S.p.A.’s infrastructure, owned and/or used by ATAC S.p.A., during the four-year period 2024-2028. Some of the planned interventions are part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and the program of interventions related to the Jubilee 2025 celebrations as outlined in the DPCM of June 14, 2023.

The tender procedure, divided into three lots, involved the assignment of a Framework Agreement for each lot:

  • Lot 1 – Civil Works and Systems
  • Lot 2 – Design Verifications
  • Lot 3 – Worksite Management of Systems and Testing

The consortium led by IRD Engineering S.r.l., with the participation of GIS DESIGN S.r.l. and PM&D Engineering S.r.l., was awarded Lot 1 – Civil Works and Systems.

The services covered by the awarded Framework Agreement include:

  • Preliminary activities for Design.
  • Surveys.
  • Design (PFTE, PE).
  • Worksite Management.
  • Safety Coordination during Design and Execution phases.
  • Technical and Administrative Testing.

The interventions to be carried out, with an estimated construction value of approximately 144 million euros, will involve extraordinary maintenance, construction, demolition and reconstruction, functional and regulatory adaptation of buildings and depots, necessary for the activities carried out by the Contracting Authority as the operator of local public transport.
