On November 2, 2024, we welcomed distinguished representatives from the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia for a significant site visit to Section 4 of the Prilep-Bitola motorway project. Present were the Prime Minister, Minister of Transport, Director of Public Enterprise for State Roads, the mayors of Bitola and Prilep, and the Ambassador of the United States.
This vital 39-kilometer section is part of an ambitious initiative to construct four motorway segments across the country. The project, spearheaded by the joint venture of Bechtel-ENKA and overseen by IRD Engineering, is making impressive progress. During the visit, attention was drawn to the laying of the crushed stone foundation at km 16+500, marking a crucial milestone achieved through careful planning and execution.
With a total of 108 kilometers slated for completion over the next four years, this motorway will enhance connectivity and drive economic growth in the region. Stay tuned for further updates on this transformative infrastructure project!
