The project is financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and aims at the reconstruction of 128 kilometres of roads, organised in four separate works contracts.
The Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan has requested the ADB to provide financial assistance for the Second Road Network Development Investment Program and part of these funds will be used for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Roads M5, R32, and R57. The works contracts will be organised in 4 lots with an overall budget of almost 140 million Euro.
Late 2018, a Joint Venture led by IRD Engineering resulted awarded with an international tender for the supervision of works as per FIDIC MDB Harmonized Edition. The team will review the detailed design, will ensure that the works are constructed in accordance with the technical specifications, and will advise the Employer on all matters concerning implementation, including quality control, progress of work, arbitration or litigation, and certification for payments.
