Supervision of the Water Supply System Improvement Project in Cetinje

The HYDROPHIL GmbH – IRD Engineering Joint Venture has been awarded the contract for the supervision of the Improvement of the Water Supply System in the Old Royal Capital of Cetinje, Montenegro, following an international procurement procedure. HYDROPHIL GmbH is the lead partner, with IRD Engineering participating as a consortium partner.

The project aims to improve the reliability and efficiency of water supply services in Cetinje through the construction and rehabilitation of approximately 92 km of water supply infrastructure, together with the development of new reservoirs and pumping facilities and the modernization of the existing network.

The investment will contribute to improving the quality and reliability of water supply services for the citizens of Cetinje and strengthening the municipality’s water infrastructure.

IRD Engineering’s responsibilities include:

• Supervision of the construction and rehabilitation of approximately 92 km of water supply infrastructure
• Supervision of the construction of new reservoirs and pumping facilities
• Monitoring the quality, progress and compliance of works with contractual requirements, technical specifications and applicable standards
• Coordination with the Contracting Authority, Contractor and other project stakeholders throughout implementation
• Support in the administration and monitoring of the works contract

Through this assignment, IRD Engineering contributes to the improvement of sustainable and reliable water services and to the long-term development of water infrastructure in Cetinje.
