Supervision of Automobile Tunnels and Pedestrian Crossings – Baku Road Development Project

IRD Engineering provides construction supervision services for the development of key underground infrastructure forming part of the new road connection between Hasan Aliyev Street and Koroghlu Metro Station, running parallel to Ziya Bunyadov Street in Baku. The project includes the construction of automobile tunnels and pedestrian underpasses, designed to improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and facilitate urban mobility in one of the capital’s most dynamic corridors.

IRD Engineering has engaged GMC Consulting LLC to support administrative and engineering tasks within the framework of the contract with SAAAR. Together, the team ensures that all works are executed in accordance with technical specifications, design requirements, and national construction standards.

Scope of Services

IRD provides direct supervision and quality control of tunnel and pedestrian crossing construction, verifies contractor performance, materials and safety measures, and monitors progress, schedule compliance and adherence to approved designs. The team also manages contract administration and coordination with SAAAR, reviews technical documentation and supervision reports, and supports testing, commissioning and final acceptance procedures.
