Framework Agreement for Supervision of Repair Works of Republican Roads on the Territory of Bulgaria – Lot 8

The consortium IRD Engineering – Ekoengineering – Kontpas has signed a Framework Contract with the Bulgarian Road Infrastructure Agency (API) under the public procurement procedure “Repair Works of Republican Roads on the Territory of Bulgaria – Framework Agreement for Nine Lots”, covering Lot 8, which includes the regions of Haskovo, Kardzhali, and Stara Zagora.

This assignment contributes to Bulgaria’s national strategy for improving the technical and operational standards of the republican road network, ensuring the execution of high-quality rehabilitation works in compliance with applicable regulations.

The scope of services includes construction supervision and technical control in accordance with Bulgarian legislation. IRD Engineering, together with its partners, ensures that all works are carried out in line with approved designs, contractual requirements, and applicable quality standards.

IRD Engineering’s responsibilities include:

• Supervision of road rehabilitation works in Lot 8 (Haskovo, Kardzhali, Stara Zagora)
• Preparation of comprehensive conformity assessment reports
• Monitoring compliance with approved designs, safety, and environmental requirements
• Verification of contractor activities, material quality, and testing procedures in line with national standards
• Support during construction permitting processes
• Supervision during the Defects Liability Period (DLP)

This assignment further strengthens institutional capacity for the supervision of road infrastructure projects in Bulgaria and supports the delivery of safe, durable, and efficient road networks.
