The workshop “Introduction to Contract Management for FIDIC Contracts” has been successfully organised this weekend in Skopje by IRD Engineering’s branch in the country.
The event, conducted by Mr. Alfonso Pelosi, a reputable Civil Engineer and FIDIC practitioner, and an associate consultant of IRD Engineering in North Macedonia, counted on the participation of numerous employees of the firm, members of local partner companies, and officials from different agencies and public administrations at a local and national levels.
During the seminar, the participants had the opportunity to become familiar with the most common types of FIDIC contracts and with the different responsibilities for the Employer, the Engineer and the Contractor. Payments and variations received special attention. Last but not least, a practical case study related to the Engineer’s Authority in Connection with Variations was presented and discussed with all participants.
