Framework Contract for the Provision of Engineering Services for the Maintenance and Upgrading Works of Roads and Structures in the Lazio Region

ASTRAL S.p.A. is the Italian public company under the direction and coordination of the Lazio Region that manages the entire regional road network under concession, overseeing the planning, construction, and supervision of new road and rail infrastructures. Additionally, it operates the regional mobility information service and acts as the implementing body for the planning of local public transport networks, as well as the assignment and monitoring of road-based public transport services.

A Joint Venture led by IRD Engineering signed an important framework contract aimed at the provision of engineering services for the maintenance and upgrading works of roads and structures in the Lazio Region (Italy).

The services envisaged under this new contract include the preparation of technical and economic feasibility studies, undertaking preliminary, detailed and constructive designs, the co-ordination of all health and safety aspects and the inspection of existing bridges, viaducts, and other structures.
