Consulting Services for the Supervision of the Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Local Roads in North Macedonia: Package 1- Western Region, Package 2 – Eastern Region

The project for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the local road network in the Republic of Macedonia, financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), had the objective to connect and serve the populated areas, the localities and certain activities in the gravity area of the Municipalities to the national and regional roads.

The works for Package 1 included the reconstruction and rehabilitation of 146 sections of local roads (187.38 km) in 6 contracts for construction works.

The works for Package 2 included the reconstruction and rehabilitation of 97 sections of local roads (127.98 km) in 5 contracts for construction works.

The rehabilitation and reconstruction of the local roads enables an increase of the throughput and the traffic safety, and also improve the economic and business development in all municipalities in North Macedonia.

The conditions of the contracts for construction works were based on FIDIC Red Book, prepared by the Federation Internationale des Ingenieurs-Conseils.
