North – South Road Corridor Investment Program: Preparation of Detailed Design, Land Acquisition and Resettlement Plan from Qajaran to Agarak and Implementation of Author Supervision from Agarak to Tunnel Exit (Tranche 4)

The “North-South Road Corridor Investment Programme” is a major infrastructure project in Armenia which aims at connecting the Southern border of the Country with the Northern one through the 556 km-long Meghri – Yerevan – Bavra highway. The completion of this highly important strategic road will provide easier flow of traffic from the Southern part of Armenia to the Georgian border and up to Black Sea ports.

The North-South Road Corridor Project is divided into 5 Tranches. The 45 km-long section connecting Qajaran with the Armenian border with Iran in Agarak is the most southern out of the 5 Tranches of the 556 km long “North-South Road Corridor Investment Program”.

The 2 carriageways 2+2 lanes Highway, is aimed to provide a safe, fast and reliable North-South connection through one long tunnel and the realigning/reshaping of the existing 2 lanes single carriageway road.

A team of IRD Engineering is preparing the preliminary and detailed designs for Tranche 4, Qajaran-Agarak (45 km), including a 6 km-long tunnel. Besides, our team will also provide author supervision services for one lot of 32 km.
